Imagine spending 10 minutes each day in a blissful, dreamy state, where you 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 choose to daydream about something that freely inspires your heart to sing.

  • What vision would you hold in your mind?

  • What emotions would that vision ignite?

  • How would it feel if it came true?

Holding a 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 within your day, let alone within your meditation practice, gives power to your goal/s, bringing them closer to reality. This practice is known as Visualisation Meditation.

𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 is a great tool to use when setting an intention or creating a goal for yourself or your business. Focussing on a goal in a meditative state has been tested by scientists, entrepreneurs, athletes & even people who've healed from illness. They used 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 to obtain the desired outcome in life. The process of visualising your goals works effortlessly as an effective practice to reprogram your emotional and cognitive behaviours whilst keeping you motivated and focused.

Sometimes you might desire change within your life, yet your outgrown habits or thought patterns prevent you from moving forward.

Visualisation meditation can combat this setback tendency by rewiring the brain and changing the physiological hormonal composition, reducing stress, anxieties and fatigue.

The visualisation meditation technique also opens an infinite potential to create new dreams, as it can enhance your creativity, making it one of the most enjoyable styles of meditation once you get the hang of it.

Another benefit to this style of meditation is that it 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 *𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥.

An activated pineal gland harmonises the mind and body and aligns a person to a content, happy state of being. The science behind this type of alignment is that the pineal gland is one of the primary producers of **serotonin, one of the happy hormones. When serotonin is in a healthy and functional state of production, people find that they experience increased feelings of hopefulness, inspiration, motivation, and they can even experience deeper sleep and a reduction in health issues.

So, to help you create a zen lifestyle and welcome in some new dreams for the next phase of your life, why not try this simple 10-minute-a-day activity?

10 Minute Daydream Session

1. Find yourself a happy location to sit or lay, without distractions

- turn off the phone, make sure the kids are soundly sleeping, and that the dog has been walked and fed)

2. Eyes can be open or closed, and in your mind, visualise your goal or a dream that means a lot to you

3. Envision the very next step that you need to bring this dream to life, and envision doing it precisely as you would need to do in your life

4. Envision yourself as happy, satisfied and accomplished that you are committing to your dream by doing what you need to do to bring it to life

5. As you envision your goal/dream coming to life, you may experience thoughts of doubt, doubt that you can achieve what you want to achieve, or fears; fear that you aren't worthy of such achievements. As these thoughts enter your consciousness, remind yourself that this is a 10-minute visualisation where you can envision WHATEVER you wish - so imagine feeling worthy and courageous. Envision the feeling of freedom as you achieve your aspiration.

6. Once you have returned to an uplifted and motivated state of being, this is the evidence of the reprogramming commencing. And from here on, your dream will be easier to envision within each session. Continue this session for as long as you like.

You may like to bring these into your 10-minute daily Visualisation sessions:

- Journal or notepad to write your experience and newly envisioned ideas

- Soft, calming background music

- Light rug to throw over your body to enhance a deep state of relaxation

- Pillow for under your knees or to support your spine

- If you are keeping your eyes open, you might like to light a candle

(keep flames away from breezes or curtains)

Daydreaming is akin to a Visualisation Meditation activity and can be an excellent and potentially productive way to spend just 10-minutes of your day.
